Enrico Milletti, founder of Silica, standing behind the Y Combinator sign

Hi there đź‘‹ my name's Enrico.
I'm the founder of Silica.

Before Silica, I developed materials for future products at Apple. Before that, I made over a thousand parts by hand as the founding engineer at a manufacturing startup, where we built the first desktop manufacturing cell for resin transfer molding.

A robot's joints need to be both strong and intelligent, and building them takes design, engineering, materials, and manufacturing working as one. I've spent my career picking up each of those pieces. Now I'm putting them together to build a platform of robotic hardware that gives every developer access to mechanical intelligence, at the scale robotics needs right now. Once robots can feel, they can start learning the way we do.

Silica is backed by Y Combinator, Founders Inc. and UP.Partners. If you're building a robot that needs to feel what it touches, write to me at enrico@silicamachines.com.
